Dosoledo is a a small city located in the middle of the Dolomites nature<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the low part of the city, there is a characteristic row of barns, which were built under the project of Rifabbrico (re-building), started by the Regola di Dosoledo, a corporation whose goal is to protect and valorise the territory.<\/p>\n

In Dosoledo, the main feast is the feast of Saint Apollonia, on February, 9th. Every year, on the closest Sunday, they celebrate a great and joyful Carnival, on of the most important in Veneto region, along with Venice Carnival. You will find a museum where all these fantastic life stories are narrated.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Popera group, which belongs to the Sexten Dolomites, is the main range, and you can see it directly from your room and the breakfast room. In the Popera Group there is also the Pass of the Sentinella (sentinel), easily recognisable from the hotel.
From this pass, reachable on foot, it is possible to admire all the valley of Comelico and the valley of Pusteria. During World War I, this was a battle area between Italians and Germans, in order to get the control of both the valleys. On the mountains, not far from Dosoledo, you still can find some small forts, built during World War I.
Beside walks among valleys and mountains, you can also go rock climbing, for example on the \u2018Zandonella\u2019, one of the most famous climbing paths. And we must mention also Val Visdende, not far from Dosoledo, which is the place where the spring of River Piave is located. And again, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the marvellous Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo \u2013 the Queen of the Dolomites \u2013 and Pieve di Cadore, birthplace of Tiziano Vecellio, painter of the XVI century and important exponent of Venetian school.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Winter is the opening time of the Sexten Dolomites ski district, with the famous skitour Giro delle Cime. At 2 km only, you can start the tour which will lead you among the beautiful valleys with skis on your feet. And we must mention also the important circuit for cross-country skiing, which, starting from Padola stadium, will take you to the silent Val Grande woods.
